Everyone here works to the same standard of evidence. A safeguard is credited when it passes the independence test, not when the room is tired. That applies to the newest engineer and to the director, and it is the one thing we do not negotiate on for a deadline.
Site work and study weeks are demanding, and we plan them so they end. Travel is scheduled with recovery time, study days are capped at the length a facilitator can actually hold attention for, and nobody is asked to sign off work they are not competent to judge.
You are put in front of real plant early, with a senior engineer beside you rather than a checklist. Competency is assessed against what you can lead unaided, and we fund the certifications that follow from that, including functional safety and calorimetry training.

Evaluate reactive and thermal hazards by DSC, ARC and reaction calorimetry, and interpret runaway, gas evolution and incompatibility through scale up.
Translate PHA and LOPA findings into safety instrumented systems across the IEC 61511 and 61508 lifecycle, from SRS through proof test planning.
Fire protection engineering, consequence modelling, regulatory compliance, and the reporting that carries it to a board.
Build the PHAx and AQRA environments alongside the engineers who use them, and the Power Platform work that carries their output into a client tenant.
