Engineering where the finding is expected to change the plant

We hire engineers who want to sit in the room where the decision is made, and who are willing to be held to what they signed. If that is the work you want, the roles and the terms are below.

What we hold ourselves to

Vision

To make a hazard study worth what it costs, by ending it with a change to the plant rather than a bound report. We want the practice judged on what moved after we left, and we build the software and the method around that single test.

Shared goal

Everyone here works to the same standard of evidence. A safeguard is credited when it passes the independence test, not when the room is tired. That applies to the newest engineer and to the director, and it is the one thing we do not negotiate on for a deadline.

Care

Site work and study weeks are demanding, and we plan them so they end. Travel is scheduled with recovery time, study days are capped at the length a facilitator can actually hold attention for, and nobody is asked to sign off work they are not competent to judge.

Growth

You are put in front of real plant early, with a senior engineer beside you rather than a checklist. Competency is assessed against what you can lead unaided, and we fund the certifications that follow from that, including functional safety and calorimetry training.

Life at Arborion

Described plainly enough that you can hold us to it in your first month.

The Arborion engineering office in Thane, engineers working at drawing stations with two colleagues talking a problem through at a writing wall
Where the work happens
A mix of plant and office. Studies run on site with the client's team, and analysis, modelling and reporting run from Thane.
Who you sit with
Small teams. A study is chaired by one engineer and scribed by another, so you learn the chair by doing the scribe.
What you are trusted with
Your own nodes within your first year, and your own study once you can defend the safeguard qualification unaided.
How work is reviewed
Every deliverable is checked by a second engineer before it leaves. Findings against your work are discussed with you, not around you.
Tools you will use
Our own PHAx and AQRA environments, plus the standards they implement, so you learn the method rather than a menu.
What we will not ask
To stretch a correlation past its validity, or to close a study with coverage gaps left unreported.

We keep these open continuously and interview when a strong application arrives, rather than only when a seat is vacant.
