Clause 8)
Clause 8 is where the plan and the support turn into how the plant runs every day, and our team helps you make that operating reality safe and controlled. Under sub clause 8.1.1 you plan, put in place, control and maintain the processes that meet the requirements of the health and safety system. Under 8.1.2 you apply the hierarchy of controls in order, first eliminating the hazard, then substituting, then using engineering controls, then administrative controls, and personal protective equipment as the last line. Under 8.1.3 you plan management of change for both temporary and permanent changes so that nothing slips through unassessed. Under 8.1.4 your procurement and contractor processes keep health and safety risk in check. Under 8.2 you plan emergency preparedness and response, then you test it and revise it. This clause maps across CCPS RBPS elements 8 through 16 and the operating paragraphs of OSHA PSM, and we make sure every control is the one your operations can actually sustain.
