Training & Competency Development

We build the capability of your people through training that spans every domain we work in, from process safety, functional safety and hazard studies to asset integrity, EHS, fire, emergency response, sustainability and leadership, so that the competence behind your operations grows from within your own team.

Strategic context

Why training & competency development matters

Training and Competency Development converts knowledge into operational capability. Our team brings together the CCPS Process Safety Competency Model, TÜV and exida Functional Safety certification, NEBOSH and IIRSM occupational safety, NFPA 470 hazmat response and CCPS and OSHA root cause analysis investigation training into role based programmes built around your own facility scenarios rather than generic decks. The programmes combine instructor led workshops, simulator based drills, blended e learning and embedded coaching that turns training into sustained operating discipline.

Engagement model

How we deliver

A phased, evidence led delivery model that runs from discovery through close out and is built around your facility, regulatory context, and lifecycle stage.

Competency Needs Analysis
We run a role based competency gap analysis per the CCPS PS Competency Model and ISO 10015 and map it against your incident investigation lessons and regulatory expectations.
Curriculum Design
We build site specific case studies from your P&IDs and incident archive, design the simulator scenarios and select the certification route across TÜV, exida, NEBOSH, NFPA 470 and IIRSM.
Facilitated Delivery
We deliver through instructor led classrooms, on site workshops, simulator drills and blended e learning with multi language and multi jurisdiction delivery options.
Assessment and Certification
We run written and practical examinations and scenario based competency demonstrations and award formal certification per the TÜV, exida, NEBOSH or NFPA programme.
Sustainment and CPD
We set the refresher cadence, typically annual, track CPD against the certification body requirement, provide embedded coaching and integrate learning from incidents.

Frequently asked questions

What does training and competency development cover?

It converts knowledge into operational capability, building the competence of your people across every domain we work in. The programmes span process safety, functional safety and hazard studies through asset integrity, EHS, fire, emergency response, sustainability and leadership, so the competence behind your operations grows from within your own team rather than being permanently bought in.

Which certification routes and frameworks do you use?

We work to the CCPS Process Safety Competency Model with TÜV Rheinland and exida CFSE and CFSP for functional safety, NEBOSH IGC and IDIP with IIRSM for occupational safety, the NFPA 470 hazmat competency standard, and Kirkpatrick four level evaluation to measure effectiveness. For India we also align to the OISD training framework.

How are the programmes different from off the shelf courses?

We build site specific case studies from your own P&IDs, HAZOP records and incident archive rather than reaching for generic decks, and our trainers actively practise so the material is current rather than a decade old. Delivery combines instructor led classrooms, on site workshops, simulator based drills and blended e learning, with embedded coaching that turns training into sustained operating discipline.

What do participants and organisations get?

You receive workforce competency mapped against role requirements with a clear assurance trail, formal certification through TÜV, exida, NEBOSH and NFPA where it applies, drill validated emergency response capability, measurable behavioural change through improved near miss reporting, and long term capability sustainment through refresher and CPD cycles.

Which sectors and audiences do you train?

We train teams in refining, chemicals and petrochemicals, pharmaceuticals and API, LNG, cryogenic and hydrogen, power, fertilizer and mining, defence, aerospace and nuclear, and regulator, district authority and public sector cohorts. Delivery is available in multiple languages and calibrated to multiple jurisdictions.
