Clause 9 is how you prove the health and safety system is genuinely working, and our team helps you build the assurance that shows it to leaders, regulators and your own people. Under sub clause 9.1.1 you monitor, measure, analyse and evaluate your health and safety performance. Under 9.1.2 you evaluate whether you are meeting your legal and other requirements. Under 9.2.1 you run internal audits at planned intervals to confirm the system conforms and is being put into practice effectively. Under 9.2.2 you plan, establish, run and maintain the audit programme itself. Under 9.3 top management reviews the system at planned intervals, drawing on audit results, compliance evaluation, what interested parties are telling you, overall performance, whether objectives are being met, and where the opportunities to improve lie. The outputs of this clause feed directly into the improvement work of clause 10, and we tie your process safety event indicators in so the picture is complete.
