BOWTY Expert runs on your own computer. Your bow ties are .bt files on your own computers and shared folders, and they are never sent to Arborion Global. To use BOWTY Expert you sign in with an Arborion account whose e-mail address is on a BOWTY Expert licence or trial; without one it opens bow ties read-only. What BOWTY Expert does.

  • macOS: the app and its disk image are signed with Arborion Global's Developer ID (G877G6T4PP), notarized by Apple and stapled. macOS checks the signature when you open BOWTY Expert.

How to check a download

On a Mac, in Terminal:

On Windows, in PowerShell:

The result must match the value above exactly. If it does not, do not open the file: delete it and e-mail support@arborionglobal.com.

First start

  1. BOWTY Expert shows its Terms of Use, Privacy Statement, User Data Policy, Security Policy and Refund Policy. Read and accept them to continue.
  2. Sign in with your Arborion account (or create one) in BOWTY Expert; it is the same account as for PHAx. BOWTY Expert never stores your password. Signing in activates BOWTY Expert on this computer, once; there are no licence keys. Each computer you activate uses one seat of your licence. Reinstalling or updating BOWTY Expert on the same computer reuses its seat, and deactivating a computer under Account & Licence frees the seat.
  3. No licence yet? Start a free trial or buy a licence under Account & Licence. Purchases are completed on the BOWTY licensing service (payments by Razorpay, in Indian rupees, with a GST tax invoice). Prices.
  4. The licence is confirmed online at least every 7 days and after each update; in between BOWTY Expert works offline. BOWTY Expert needs the internet to sign in and to activate a computer. Only the licence check goes over the internet, never the content of your bow ties.
